  11. A Type 1 MacIntosh Postscript font (converted to PC TrueType for use  
  12. with Windows 3.1); an upper and lower case font, MarkerFeltThin makes  
  13. typed messages look as if they'd been spontaneously hand printed.  
  14. MarkerFeltThin gives messages urging immediacy a casual, personal touch  
  15. by looking as if the copy was handwritten with a fine-point felt-tip  
  16. marker.

  18. Use for eye-catching notices, ad display or to convey spontaneous,  
  19. impulsive expression. Use it for copy needing to convey messages of:  
  20. urgency, immediacy or "take notice." Instead of reaching for a trusted  
  21. (hopefully capped) felt-tip pen loaded with permanent ink to scrawl  
  22. impulsive messages, you now can reach for the keyboard and click away.

  24. To Install: Once in Windows 3.1 launch the Control Panel in the Main  
  25. window. Select Fonts utility and click on the Add...Button. Choose the  
  26. drive and/or directory to locate he TrueType font (.TTF file). The font  
  27. should appear in the Installed  Fonts window. Close the dialog box.  
  28. You shouldn't have to restart Windows.

  30. Normal keyboard strokes will produce numbers, the hyphen and = sign,  
  31. and these shifted symbols above numbers: ! $ * % & ( ) +.  I used the  <  
  32. and > keystrokes to produce superscripted numbers of 00 and 99 to give  
  33. better visual effect when wanting to show prices ending this way:  
  34. $3.99, $4.99 or $5.00 etc.

  36. Input from registered users caused me to create Version 2 which updates  
  37. the font with additional characters: legal symbols, Ellipses, em and en  
  38. dashes several diacritical characters and more.  
  39. Try and ENJOY!.......then if you use and enjoy, honor the shareware fee  
  40. of $10. If you SHARE this font, please include all files and documents  
  41. in one folder. Please indicate format (TT) etc.,  version number and where  
  42. you obtained/downloaded the file.

  44. I currently teach drawing, painting, printmaking, year  
  45. book DTP, and commercial art to future artists, possibly typographers  
  46. (alias) high school students; and  produce serious art for local,  
  47. regional and national juried exhibitions. I also enjoy seeing copies, or  
  48. samples of work created with my fonts. I show them to students so  
  49. they can see what real people are doing in the DTP world today.

  59. Since creating my first font SnyderSpeed Brush (11/91 v.1 upper case  
  60. only), the encouragement of shareware fees and/or input from users,  
  61. allowed me to update SnyderSpeed by adding lower case (1/92), plus  
  62. create OregonWet (on AOL's Nov. 91 top download's list), OregonDry,  
  63. MarkerFeltThin 2/92, MarkerFeltWide 4/92 (used by Aldus Magazine's "New  
  64. Comics" article, pgs.18-20 July/Aug '92 issue) and StarsAndStripes 7/92;  
  65. updates to MarkerFelt Thin v2, MFWide v2 and (SnyderSpeed Brush v3  9/92  
  66. and ComicsCarToon 10/92 (featured in Aldus Magazine 3/93), both top  
  67. downloads; NeedlePointSew 11/92; MarkerFinePoint 3/93. Fonts are  
  68. available both in Type 1 and  True Type Formats on AOL and CServe for  
  69. the Mac.

  72. planned for uploading by May1993 via CServe modem, DTP forum; and in  
  73.  Oregon via Night OWl BBS (503) 267-4338 which to date has no connect
